Terms
Backlinks.press is a place where brands and agencies (buyers) work with site owners (publishers) on sponsored posts. These terms explain how that works and what each side agrees to.
In short
- Buyers and publishers only work together once they're connected: the publisher invited the buyer, or both accepted a match we suggested.
- Publishers set their own prices, discounts and coupons, write the posts, and publish them.
- Orders paid through the platform are held until the post is live and checked, then released to the publisher.
- Every paid link is disclosed as sponsored where the publisher's rules or the law require it. We don't promise rankings or traffic.
1. The service
Backlinks.press provides the tools around a sponsored post: matching, ordering, payment, messaging, order tracking and status pages. Publishers own and run their sites and decide what they publish. We are not the publisher of the posts, and we are not a party to the editorial relationship between a buyer and a publisher beyond what these terms say.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with an email address (through our sign-in provider). Keep your details accurate and your account to yourself.
- An account can act as a buyer, a publisher, or both. Publishers are admitted by application; we review every site and may decline or remove a site or account that breaks these terms.
- You must be able to enter a contract for yourself or the company you represent.
3. Connections and matching
- A buyer and a publisher are connected when the publisher invites the buyer with a link, or when the buyer accepts a suggested publisher and the publisher accepts the request.
- Suggestions are anonymous: a buyer sees a publisher's numbers (niches, prices, traffic), and a publisher sees a buyer's activity (niches, typical budget, orders placed). Names are shared only after both sides accept.
- Offers for sites that aren't on the platform yet are approximate. Accepting one asks us to arrange it; it becomes an order only once the publisher joins and confirms.
- Either side can disconnect. Orders already placed stay visible to both.
4. Orders
- An order is one sponsored post on one site, with the buyer's target URL, anchor text and brief. Prices are the publisher's, less any standing discount or coupon the publisher gave.
- The publisher writes the article (or agrees the text with the buyer), publishes it as ordered, and marks it live with the post's URL. We check that the URL is on the ordered site and links to the target.
- The publisher keeps the post and link live, unchanged, for at least 12 months unless the order says otherwise.
- Publishers can decline a brief that breaks their guidelines or the law; a declined or late order is refunded (see payments).
- Each order has a private status page that the client's email, the publisher and our admins can open.
5. Payments and payouts
- Orders paid on the platform go through PayPal. We hold the payment until the post is live, then release it to the publisher's balance.
- Buyers pay a 3% processing fee on top of the post price. Publishers keep their full price after discounts.
- If a paid order isn't published within the publisher's stated turnaround plus a reasonable grace period, or is declined, the buyer is refunded.
- Publishers withdraw their balance to PayPal. Payouts usually arrive the next business day; PayPal may charge its own fees.
- Orders a publisher invoices directly (for example a PayPal invoice) are paid to the publisher outside the platform. Backlinks.press only tracks those orders and isn't responsible for their payment.
6. Content and links
- Buyers are responsible for the pages they link to and any text they supply: no illegal content, malware, deception, or infringement of anyone's rights.
- Sensitive topics (casino, crypto, CBD) are only ordered on sites that accept them, at the publisher's price for them, and only where they're legal for the audience.
- Paid links are marked as sponsored (for example
rel="sponsored") and posts disclosed as sponsored where the publisher's rules, search-engine guidelines or advertising law require it. - We don't guarantee rankings, traffic or other results from any post.
7. Fair use of the platform
- Don't use identities revealed through matching to take those orders off the platform, and don't try to identify anonymous publishers or buyers.
- Don't misrepresent your sites, metrics, traffic or business.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after telling you why where we can.
8. Liability
We provide the platform as it is and work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees we received for the orders involved.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform changes. We'll post the new version here with its date and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they apply.
